Yeah in a world where tragedies are often measured by the amount of media footage available of the event, body count or their timing relative to other disasters it's good to see it acknowledged that it's just a really sad time for everyone.

It's actually a kiwi. They are pretty much the national symbol for New Zealand.

Its my fault i assumed too much,I thought the little guy was a sandpiper ,you see they have them in northern Japan this time of year. I hope you do more like this one its very nice.

Cheers man. Its a kiwi bird - about a month before the Japanese earthquakes New Zealand had a nasty earthquake that, though not on the scale of Japan, still did a lot of damage and took lives.

Oh Im so sorry. How could I not see the Allegory. thats so clever,sweet yet tragic. Im sorrry for the misidenification of the little bird. its a lovely picture though. Im not kissing ass but everytime something like this happens I donate to Americares,The red cross and the Convoy of hope. I sent a chunk of cashtheir way for New Zealand Haiti and Japan. Its pretty much all I can do and hope other peole gave some money too. people may laugh but that one more blanket and one more Medical kit for someone whos lost everything. id like to think that if a tragedy ever strikes where i live the people of the world will be just as kind and merciful in charity. Sorry for the ramble.

THe whole mayan calendar end of world thing makes me laugh. Its not the end of the world - the mayans just couldn't be bothered changing the calendar every year, so they made one that they only had to change every thousand years or so.
