Oh my god. Part 2 is done. Where Part 1 was more of a quick gag, we are now getting to the meat of the story. Lots of exposition about Twilight's decision to turn the Castle of the Two Sisters into the Academy of Magic.(Bit of a retcon here, I initially had the Academy of Magic be in Canterlot, until a user here suggested a better location.)
Comic making is exhausting. I wrote and rewrote those last few panels over and over. Should Twilight figure Discord out first, or should he reveal himself first? In my first draft, back when the comic was called Twilight's Theory, Professor Chaos Theory said a lot of incriminating things to make her suspect his true identity, and the rest of the comic was her doggedly spying on him trying to reveal his secret. Bleh. I figured the sooner I revealed Discord, the sooner we could get to learning his intentions.
I'm pretty proud of that last panel. I love drawing Discord all dragon-y looking. I've always sort of interpreted his character to be a sort of pony-Mephistopheles, and I feel he should always look at least a little imposing and crafty and vaguely sinister. I like the more recent Nice Guy Discord the show has given us, but personality-wise, I tend to write him a bit more as he is in Return of Harmony.

It doesn't look like's actually fixed up the castle, though. That state of disrepair is dangerous for students, particularly considering the potential magic has for explosions.
That aside, Discord's claims of "chaos" are rather... wanting. Although there would be some brief disturbance at the thought of non-unicorns benefiting from schools of magic, it would be accepted quickly enough, and innovation is part of the natural order of society. Making knowledge the standard to even out all three races from the unbalanced state between them; to spread knowledge to those who would not have it; to restore the past into the modernity of the present; all these things are nonchaotic or outright antichaotic.

I have no idea why you you've put this comic on hiatus. I seriously don't know, but I get that it has some kind of reason. I won't demand that you should resume immediately, or even do it in the close future. I just wish that you take your time, since you can't rush perfection... or good quality pudding. We will wait patientliy, even though some of us defy that rule. You're one of the great contributors of art to this fandom, and there is no doubt that I'm not the only one with this opinion. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

It'd be interesting to see if Discord is actually being serious beneath the usual bluster and intimidation, and if Twilight ends up taking him on as an actual teacher. After all, if he was just joking around, that would be predictable... and he does so love watching ponies walk right into chaos of their own making.

Um i know this is a bit mean to ask but could uou please up the quality for the next one the pixels per centimeter are two low and i find it difficult to read on a tablet witch i my main deviantart reader.
If it is impossible to up the quality then could you please write the words out in the description

While I did have plans to finish Mister Discord, life has gotten in the way. While I would like to finish it, I don't know if I will. Maybe I'll return to it in the summer. We'll see. :/

My brain feels like hes going to fuck with her the whole time hes there, he'll do his job actually teach stuff but hes going to be making that I'm up to stuff smirk the whole time. (I remeber when we used to do that to our teachers in school. Ahh days of school wide paranoia just for it to end with something dumb like us all wearing the exact same thing at the end of the week.)
