That is.. wow. Beautiful. I especially love the rising feeling coupled with the bird on a wire as the pup is being 'delivered' to heaven. Very, very nice.

...unfortunately we lost our Alaskan Mal, Tyson of 8 years. We held him as the light faded from his beautiful brown eyes, always loved forever missed, Ty. Thanx for posting this btw.

this is great! Reminds me of my golden retriever. I hope when I get there I'm covered with my dogs...all nine of them!

I love this, I work at a humane society and I see the worst and best of people in how they treat animals. The best part about this piece and what makes it so great is you have produced a profound emotional response from all who have viewed.

I love this. The expressions on the man and the dog are perfect, as is the way the dog is position in the mans' lap, very comfort-seeking and peaceful. Having the bird state "all dogs go to heaven" for some reason gives it more impact, that the third party still recognizes the significance of what's going on here. The dripping colors give them a sense of rising up, possibly compounded by the line under the bird being a telephone wire? And if that's the case, there's an interesting reversal here, with most people being told "don't worry, Kota will be waiting for you in Heaven" but in this case, it looks like the man is gathering up the dog, a sad case of pet outliving owner? It's touching to be told your dog will come back for you, but it's doubly touching to know that a man will come back for his dog. All in all, I love this, it's poignant and uplifting at the same time.

I lost my beloved dog a few years ago - held her as she slipped away. This is a beautiful picture.
