Saw a few of these around, so i said, "what am I chopped liver?" so here it is cause no one asked, my influence map.

Now there are a few dimensions to this, not only is size indicative of influence the relative vertical position shows the personal significance.

Here goes since I'm to lazy to number them:
Going from left to right (sorry eastern folk)
Top left: Kentaro Muria(represents manga influence), Paolo Serpieri, M.C. Escher
Middle(ish): Nick Manabat (also represents comic book art influence), Frank Frazetta, Tariq Raheem, Julie Bell (sorry Boris, I just like her stuff more)
Bottom(ish): H.R Giger, Chuck Close, Masamune Shirow (also represents anime influence)

Trivia:

I watched the first Ghost in the Shell animated movie when I was about 14 years old and it blew my mind, think that was the point when disney cartoons lost all meaning for me.

I Collected the Cybernary series (the one with Deathblow on the flipside) only because Nick Manabat did the art, after he died and the book was out on it's own, I couldn't stand looking at the new artwork, I missed Nick's style that much.

Adult artwork is probably the biggest influence on me but I couldn't post those pics here (really into hardcore, not so much the "erotic"), Hentai and mainstream comic artists whose work seems to greatly improve when they are drawing "dirty".

Photography is a factor but too much stuff to fit

To be fair this thing would just be a sea of images if I had to put what influenced me, there is just that much great artwork out there!
