Especially for the numerous Russian cavalry (which has always been an elite branch of the military), the T-2K tank was created - a hybrid of a linear vehicle and reconnaissance. In fact, it was a linear T-2M, but again with lightweight armor protection (25.4 mm forehead, 12.7 mm side-stern, versus 38.1 forehead and 25.4 side-stern on the T-2M) and high-quality surveillance and communication devices like reconnaissance tanks. Another distinctive feature of the cavalry tank was boosted to 115 hp. engine and double sets of additional gas tanks on the fenders.
