I love this version, though it seems to be the least used.  I don't dig the current costume either.

The "Spider-Man Wannabe" costume is the costume from the 1938 serial.  So it predates Spidey by 24 years.  I actually like it, but I understand the love of this look too.

If such a thing existed, yeah, I'd probably buy it as it'd be epic. In fact, I believe that this is what what Allen Moore was going for w/ LXG, but couldn't b/c most if not all of these guys aren't public domain and he had to use characters that were.

That would have been intriguing.  It would be more intriguing to see MArvel dip into the pulp universe the way DC has, at least in a "parallel world" sorta way.

Love em too... And you know ( oh you know all right ) I can't resist.... Starting at bottom right , my personal favorite.. THE SHADOW and DOC SAVAGE and THE PHANTOM .... Second row going up at left is THE GREEN HORNET and KATO and MR. JUSTICE and THE SPIDER ...... Next row rising at far right is MANDRAKE THE MAGICIAN and ... TAILSPIN TOMMY ( ? ) and TARZAN and ... Another version of the SPIDER ( ? ) or maybe that's DEADSHOT ( first appearance version ) and SHERLOCK HOMES and .... don't recognize the guy with the green tie , JOHN JONZZ maybe ? ) and ZORRO......... Second last row from far left has... FLASH GORDON and THE LONE RANGER and TONTO and LOTHAR ( the defenders of the earth version ) and finally at the very top is the king of the Rocket men , ROCKET MAN! Thanks buddy , this brings back a lot of good memories!
