hi!I did a pencil on paper drawing to start with and then scanned and finished the painting in photoshop.I hope you like it.

"I hope you like it." Like it? I love it! Beautiful! The girl is beautiful, and the birds are excellent. I like how it looks like there is a story behind this portrait, without seeming like a story illustration! The colors are nice and feel natural!
It reminds me of some of James Gurney's works!
Did you use any special brushes in Photoshop? It has much more of a "real painting" feel than I often see in digital paintings (including my own) - how did you accomplish that?

I intend to buy this print when I can, because I absolutely love it. What an exquisite acheivement in lots of ways. The skill of execution is fabulous, but what is primarily captivating about this undeniably physicallly beautiful young character is not just the grace of her appearance,but the intelligent,intrigued,and apparently reverant focus on the subject matter of her reading. Her inner beauty glows, and is reflected in her chosen dress, and also most of all in the portrayed reaction of the surrounding animals. These little souls obviously love basking in the inspiration of her presence - as do I! . A true work of "Universal" inspiration. Thankyou - Warwick.
