i know this is way fashiony for DA, but i am working on my tight beauty/fashion portfolio...god only knows why, since i don't think i want to be a fashion photographer...i am just addicted to the studio level of control/exhibiting technical perfection in my work. I think fashion magazines have taught me more than any other single source about technique. I highly recommend picking up a copy of surface magazine...the photography is too hot for words.Anyway, this is shot with multiple flashes, lights everywhere, reflectors etc....i wanted a completely even distribution of light on the models skin.

i like this shot... well, actually i'm not sure about my feelings on this... her face has something that makes me both hate it, and love it at the same time.
maybe it is that she seems a lot more interesting and emotional than beautiful... which makes this photograph more powerful.
i don't know.
i liked the comment about lewis carroll flowers... it made me love this shot even more.
the thing about her nose is true also...

I love fashion shots, especially if they're as great as this one!
Love her expression and her make-up (you're a make-up goddess). She's perfectly lighted. Sometimes this way of lighting, without any shadows, can make a shot look flat and boring but it certainly doesn't here. I can't stop looking at it!
Oh, and the blue feathers are the cherry on the cake

i like the colours and expression but the lighting is way too flat for me.... not very flattering on her nose. i would have blown it out a bit more in this type of light. 2 stops or more and burned in the detail in the darkroom (real or computer generated) or had at least 1 stop diffence on one side to create a half shadow right center of her nose. hmmm...but that's just me.
