Really like how well the color tones came out on this. You have such deep blues and greens and then you also still got the warmer tones in her skin. Awesome job!!!

no filter (beside polarizer) and some of the bluest skies in the world (and of course, so good old Photoshop...but not too much)...the skies are bluer there than i have ever seen.

yeah..it is a bit too postcardy for me....but sometimes i feel like this is the only venue i can show anyone some of my work. it is funny, because every art director i meet tells me that i would make an amazing stock shooter....sometimes i take this as a bit of an insult....sometimes, i think i need to get busy shooting stock (for the money of course). and sometimes it is just nice to show that i can actually take pics like this. (though i do like the mood here and think it differentiates it a bit). thanks for listening, i am rambling.

That's the nice thing about dA
I've always perceived stock photography as mostly technical, so (judging by your work) I think you'd make a good stock photographer as you evidently have the technical know-how. Personally, I really enjoy your especially creative stuff, but that's not to say that this shot is at all unpleasant on the eye, and (as you say) it does differ a bit from the bog standard landscape scenery shot, albeit in an intangible way (maybe it's the woman, the tones, the composition - you tell me 
Finally don't apologize for the ramble, I enjoy hearing different opinions and photography related anecdotes, especially from someone who takes photographs professionally.

Lovely.. Though I would suggest a skewed crop (model off to the left side a tad), to pull into the 1/3rds rule a bit more, but then again, I'm picky and its very nice the way it is. :-D
