Description
This is the fourth cover I've pencilled and inked for the IDW mini series MARS ATTACKS: FIRST BORN, by Chris Ryall and Sam Kieth! It pays homage to Wally Wood's 1950s EC cover: WEIRD SCIENCE #12. This cover was a lot of fun to illustrate. Nothing like a little zero-G action to keep things interesting! I had a lot of fun drawing the hybrid baby and the floating in particular. A cat floating around in zero gravity. Nope...I don't think they'd like that too much. LOL. Hope you enjoy it!Related content

The cat seems unusually calm for being trapped in zero G

When I saw this picture in thumbnail, thanks to the sphere in the background, the human fellow looked a bit like the planet-size-headed Gravitina from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Now that I see it up close, I can see something I had yet to figure out in my childhood.
Weightlessness looks a lot more fun than it really is.

This is really cool! I like how fuzzy the cat looks and all the detail in the background. Makes me glad I follow you! Xx Laura
