Description What are drawn above are basically the variations in the teeth of Ba’at or Daiun (either works).

A basic(HAH) overview below along with some cultural quirks about them.

The top left hand image shows their teeth as they are for the most part, which is quite similar to humans, except they’ve got themselves some much scarier looking canines and pre molars, these are far sharper than human teeth but are amazingly pain if bitten with these teeth as the rest of the teeth that are human in appearance are about just as sharp-say for the canines and pre molars.

The top right hand image is of the hunting teeth down, or hunting fangs. These are sharp and needle like in design to deliver the venom into the prey.

The venom is a complex mixture of chemicals that are able to mimic to some degree the endorphins in any mammalian or avian species, this makes for calmer more relaxed and in the twisted case of humans-somewhat aroused prey that either don’t fight or fight very little. While these teeth are sharp they are fragile compared to the other teeth Ba’at sport, this means they don’t drawn these teeth down until their mouth is firmly over the desired bite zone on their prey.

Once the prey has been bitten the fangs are withdrawn from the selected meal and drawn away to protect them, and the Ba’at feed.

These teeth grow in when the Ba’at hit 10 and are generally fully formed a year later, during the 2-4 years prior to this their venom stores develop and their saliva starts to take on the qualities that make it contain similar chemicals to make its effects work as an endorphin and a coagulant. This is so that after feeding they lick over the wound for a minute or so, slowing and stoping the blood flow and giving the prey another dose of endorphins to leave it in a more pleasant mood rather than traumatised by having a large humanoid creature come and drain up to 500ml of blood from it.

The bottom left hand corners set are a hybrid between the hunting fangs and the regular relaxed every day teeth. These are used mainly for threat displays between males and if things go wrong from their fighting. They are caps of a sort that are stored much like the hunting fangs though these sprout to cover all the teeth but the three top and bottom molars.

The Ba’at are a relatively tough skinned though these teeth are able to do much damage if they are able to sink their teeth into one another. These teeth do not grow in until the 15-18 year old mark; this is to lessen the chances of major damage to the adolescents when they fight. Females are known to fight just as-if not more violently over a male they’ve both taken interest in just as males will fight for rights to court a female, female’s fight for the right to the male.

They’re a female dominated society, with one of the most ingrained cultural practices being that as a general rule it is the female who starts all conversation, exceptions do apply but when in doubt wait for the woman.

Though they still hold onto many of their cultural ways from life on their home planet, the past 500 years hiding in Australian small towns and bushland have lead them to slowly be accepted by small populations of humans and locals, which has influenced them and some of the stereotypes of Australians being laidback and relaxed-having an alien race with feel good chemicals in their fangs and saliva always helps.

As a side note-these guys also fit into the Transformers AU created by (War Eternal branch off series of Stranger Days) that I was given (as in, me and me alone because I asked and have also given up my soul and promised her my firstborn-or a hot man in chains) the privilege to play with-though not alter or change details in the official story line in anyway- as one of the many hidden and now out in the open alien species, and one of the many sorts found around the EDC base.

For those of you who are familiar with her species the Uma- Daiun’s harbour some serious levels of jealously towards those guys, reason being Daiun have very thick, but fine hair that falls very straight and is naturally white. They take a great deal of joy in dyeing it and changing its colour and length frequently and use anything and everything they can get there claws on to style it, and are jealous of the Uma and their fabulously style-able (though not controllable) manes which also, come in some very bright colours As a species with a number of similarities between themselves and birds they dislike their lack of flashy hair. And find it frustrating they’re only given wings up to 4 meters in length(per wing) and on the females eyelashes that would make drag queens line up to sell their souls for. These are used to show off to other females just as much as to the males.

These are of my own creation, though prompting to think about them and further development around them-working out the kinks in some parts of their anatomy- I give a good slab of the credit to

She is utterly amazing at what she does and is a gift to the community of not only DeviantART but Fanfiction.net too>Not to mention everywhere else she hides out.
So far I’ve found no one better for creating alien species from nothing.

So I give you my Aliens, the Daiun or Ba’at (planetary name-e.g. - Earthlings) which, by the way, I own. I thought them up in the context they appear written about above and in future written works. I will be beyond pissed if people don’t have the decency to ask before the use.
