The interested thing about this photo is that the book that I am holding isn't actually a book at all. I created it by buying a book shaped cardboard box and painting age into the flesh of the box with a watered down acrylic ocher color after I covered the front and side panels with a dust rose, flowered card stock print. It took me hours but I really love how it turned out.
I am afraid to admit that I am just now finishing up a few belated Christmas presents for some very special people in my life that I have yet to ship to their homes. This memory box is one of them.
I took this photo to remind me of the hours I slaved over this particular gift for my dear friend of whom I miss terribly at this very moment.
