Description
.totally painted with my brushes [link] .. also added some textures and effects ..
..
don't know why .. but the more I work on it the more it feels unfinished .. so I think I have to stop it and start creating something new ..
..
I know it looks too light for night .. but I started with such lighting and doesn't matter how much work I did on it later it still stays so light and I can't change anything ..
it also looks a bit too simple .. I would even say minimalistic .. but I couldn't change that too .. I think much details on it wouldn't be very good ..
..
So it is not perfect at all .. but I think it still keeps something special and I hope you'll like it

I think this treatment of the moon and clouds would have done well on your earlier windswept trees of "Save Me".

wow, this is really spectacular. I really like the painterly quality of this picture; with the brushes you used, it looks like natural media of some sort. You really captured the light well. I especially like the clouds and the way the moon shines through them.

I find this breathtaking in the softness... half-light... elegant lines to the lantern. And so strange...the tree and lamp beside one another... on a body-like-curving slope... wind in the grass and leaves... gliding overcast clouds...*sigh*

I was looking for a tree reference or an example for a pretty long time. Finally I found something to learn from.
I reall like the atmosphere on this, it somehow has an old, dark, foggy feel to it. An idea that popped to my mind when I saw this was to add little spots of light and silhouttes of buildings in the bottom left of the picture, subtly foretelling a village at the bottom of the hill....
heh just an idea...
Other than that I have to say that I really like your drawing technique, unique and the lightning gives this an almost surrealistic feel. Good job!

i love the simplicity of this, I dont think it needs more elements, the mood of the tree and the light standing in the middle of nowhere is great, is like an imperfect couple trying to survive in a word that can't understand them...
