Spongebob Ahoy is a reboot of the SpongeBob series, I imagine that after the cartoon gets bad, Nickelodeon will reboot SpongeBob and start removing the bad elements and doing things the way they were from the roots

I've noticed a trend of rebooting cartoons. So I decided to take a crack at it with a franchise no one wants rebooted! It's called #SpongeBob Ahoy, and it would take the show back to it's roots but also spice things up with modern elements. (1/?)

The animation would be rough around the edges with very little clean up to make it fun for animators, and to pay tribute to Hillenburgs loose style of drawing! The series would still be episodic, but that doesn't mean no development can happen. (2/?)

Just like the main show it would be character driven.
-SpongeBob would change the least, but he'd be closer to season 1. Being childish and optimistic but knows when to take things seriously.
-Patrick would be the one SpongeBob turns for advice, even if he's bad at it....(3/?)

...He might have more of a surfer vibe than in the show.
-Squidward is the same, but I gave him a hipster look and wanted to make his artistic interests more modern. Instead of people hating his art, he's more of a struggling artist trying to get more views on his work. (4/?)

...I'd also give him a social media since I thought it would fit his character, and he would do commissions.
-Mr. Krabs wouldn't change that much either. Except he'd be rougher around the edges, and maybe has some trauma from his days in the Navy he needs to work out. (5/?)

-Sandy would be closer to the first 3 seasons. Being more fascinated is Karate and extreme sports, science would still come into play, but it wouldn't be as big of a focus as it is now.
Idk how I would improve Gary or Plankton, there much perfect the way they are already...(6/?)
