oh my goodness i can't believe it's been
a year since i created Poppi D: it feels like
it was only a little while ago

but!! i started doodling him in class last week
and just,, got so inspired my goodness
i filled up like 4 pages of just a ton of little
Poppi- and Muri doodles! so here we go, meet Muri

originally, he was written to be Poppi's
one friend who's the chef at the Purapura
ramen shop, and he's finally here after a year <3

After graduating college, Muri nabbed a job at the Purapura ramen shop as a sous chef just shortly before Poppi's mother passed away. It was a rough time at the restaurant, but Muri played a huge role in keeping things going. He took over as head chef, and started taking care of Poppi, who was still in middle school, and Hani, who was only a toddler at the time as their father grew distant. He considers the regulars of the restaurant good friends and maintains an overall calm and friendly demeanor.

He quickly became something of a big brother to the two, and became especially close friends with Poppi, who didn't really have many in the first place, and now struggled to make more as he grew more closed off.

Around the time that Poppi turned 18, Muri realized his feelings for the boy were more than platonic, but he ignored this, not wanting to ruin their relationship and living situation. The age gap was a bit too much, and he knew Poppi has feelings for their neighboring flower shops owner. Setting his own feelings aside, he hopes to wingman his best friend in getting his crushes attention, and wants to help Poppi figure himself out. He aspires to be selfless, not realizing how unhappy it may make him in the end.
