Description From Arlan's point of view and drawing on his experience, this rejection hit way harder and was tough to stomach. She responded to his proposal of a passionate relationship with more arrogance, leaving him with a racing heart and a red face thanks to her direct reply. Her decisive attitude humiliated him, as she promptly said, upon learning someone had a crush on her:'You think I'd date someone like you? Never. You're not even on my level, not even on my radar. I can't even see you as a man.' Ouch, those words stung. But Arlan, all flushed and worked up, tries to have a chat with her, facing her defensive reaction that he's sure she delivered with that tone.

Arlan: Hey, hey, chill out. I didn't mean to bother you. I just wanted to share my feelings and see if you'd be up for grabbing a coffee or something, you know, get to know each other. He tries to say it with a nervous, maybe shy tone, feeling like he might cry or just walk away, his throat tight, leaving him with this uneasy feeling in his chest. But SilverWolf gives him an even harder time for it.

SilverWolf: Excuse me? I'm not gonna waste my time on you. Honestly, I'm not really into romantic stuff, especially not with someone like you. She's got this whole dismissive vibe, just belittling and poking fun at his feelings while he's down on his knees, trying not to make a scene. She's speaking so boldly, as if she's putting out a warning for everyone about this cringeworthy moment.

In the middle of all these arguments, our embarrassed and let-down main character doesn't really have the right words to express the pain that's crushed his heart. She seems dead set on having nothing, and that's even more hurtful than just a simple 'no, thanks.' He's starting to accept it as the truth, maybe he's not good enough for her, maybe there's something missing in him, and that's why she or anyone else wouldn't want him.
