Well, to be fair, the place is a very laid-back city. You can basically get everything you want, and still have a very relaxing lifestyle. There is no rush to do anything at all; it's easy to find supplies, food, work, houses, etc.

It's very unlike the city in the sense that there is no rush to do anything, and most work is well paid as well. Your disadvantage here is if you ever looked for a specialised job, you most likely won't find it.

It has elements of the country side as well, because you just need to drive down to your nearest beach to look at great sunsets, and there is a giant park in the middle of the city where you can overlook the whole of Perth, which is great for photos. Plus the houses are very spaced apart, giving you the sense of privacy. You can even get houses that have literally no neighbours for at least 5 miles either, and you're still in the city where you get mobile reception and everything. I'm not sure how they managed that though...

sounds like a great place i bet you get a lot of tourist come through

I live in the US in Texas near Oklahoma
Are neighbors are pretty evenly spaced around us, about a haft mile apart, and they all have either horses or cattle, (we're the only ones that don't). And Canyon is a very small town only about 12,000 people or so. Many of them are older people becuase it's a retirement town.

It's pretty flat where ever you go. There's not a lot of grass either most of it is dead becuase we havn't been getting enough water. there are a few trees outside of town but most of them are in town. Despite it being a small town. It seems rushed a lot of the time. We have a big collage nearby so that doesn't help much. We have a lake, but it's slowly drying up becuase they damed it up, but there are a lot of small parks and things like that where there are ponds, and places to fish.

everyone frmo out of town thinks we wear cowboy hats and ride horses to school, but that's not true...for most of us anyhow. It's hard to get a well paying job here and harder to keep the money you earn since taxes are so high, but we manage fairly well.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I guess there's a contrast in lifestyle there for you. We're all designed to make do with what we have!

Funnily enough, I'm not used to the rushed life, so now that I'm in a new town, it just seems really strange to get used to it. But yes, I will manage with it eventually.

I do hope to visit the US though, at some stage. It just seems like a really interesting place!

we're kind of a mix of cultures a lot of people from all over come here you never really know what you'll find becuase so many different people live here for exsample we're a small town and useally when you come to texas there is a lot of Mexican and southwestern stuff, but i swear we have the most asian stores for miles

well if you ever do i hope you enjoy it

Yes I would love to go there actually, I've heard a lot about it. It'd be really interesting to see the place.
I used to live in New Zealand where we had a lot of thermal springs, hot water/geysers as well. I was too young to really remember much of it, sadly.
