I think I've figured out the meaning behind Sunset Shimmer's cutie mark. Her demon form represents her at her darkest stage in life, while her half pony form represents her finally achieving redemption for that. Herr pony form looks towards the darkness, not knowing where the future will bring her, but her human form looks towards the light, optimistic for whatever her second oppurtunity will bring her.Related content
