I'm an Autist I'm an Autist

I look normal.
I usually act normal.
But inside my head, I'm not normal.
I am an autist.

People have blamed vaccines;
People have blamed toxins;
People have blamed many things;
I blame nothing.

I live with a blessing.

I have a gift for math;
A gift for empathic understanding;
A talent for angst writing,
and a amazing memory.

I live with a curse.

I am prone to violent tantrums.
I have been triggered by the smallest of things;
some kids have taunted me to make me explode;
sometimes I did; sometimes I didn't.

I would love to be free;
Free of the tantrums.
I never want to give up
