Description “Only one quarter remains my dear readers, on such a monumental occasion, I bring to you the Blitzens.”
“Blitzens; [Blitz-nz]”
“Blitzens are like Frost Hounds, only better. Being the third of the elemental infused animals, this being Infrena Magic, Blitzens are quite cool. Being felines at their core, a majority of their physical structure and demeanor resembles that of the various felines of Estea. Although commonly misinterpreted as simple housecats, Blitzens also include a variety of larger, wild cats as well. Blitzens are generally regarded as cunning, intelligent, elegant, and absolutely adorable. Whether domestic or wild, Blitzens have a unique charm to them, each variant showing affection in their own way. What truly sets the Blitzens apart from other elemental infused animals is the Blitzen’s ability to cast spells of their element, being one of the only of its kind able to utilize their respective magic type. Moreover, Blitzens have placed themselves in various cultures in Estea, even in the cultures of Hell”

“Campfire; [Kamp-fahy-uhr]”
“Both the most common and most popular variant of Blitzen, Campfire Blitzens are the most common pets in Estea. Campfire Blitzens themselves are often found in forests and grasslands, but they can be found anywhere. These Blitzens have an average lifespan of 12 years, with the possibility of living to be 18 if cared for properly. Additionally, Campfire Blitzens are fairly small growing to be 10 inches or 0.25 meters in size, with some variation on subvariant. Despite their elemental infusion, the flames produced by the Campfire Blitzens are actually harmless. With this variant being the only one with this property, Campfire Blitzens can only harm targets when actively in danger. Physically Campfire Blitzens are very similar to common house cats in both biological structure and behavior, the only deviations from this are the warm embers it has along its body. Additionally, these Blitzens are naturally warm, both to the touch and capable of emitting a cozy aura around those it cares for. Although limited in strength, Campfire Blitzens are capable of breathing fire and casting low level spells. Socially Campfire Blitzens have a wide array of social behavior and demeanors, it really depends on the subvariant and individual. Nonetheless, many find them irresistibly cute, making these Blitzens, the most common elemental infused animal to be domesticated as a pet for almost all civilizations, only Frostkin and Frost Hounds are vocal about their dislike of them.”

“Wildfire; [Wahid-fahy-uhr]”
“The second most common variant of Blitzens are the Wildfire variant, often found in grasslands, plains, canyons, and volcanic areas; these variants resemble the large cats of Estea. Wildfire Blitzens have an average lifespan of 18 to 24 years with an average size of 8 feet and 10 inches or 2.69 meters, with some variation as well. Physically, these Blitzens bear similar body structures to tigers and lions, while being regarded as stronger versions of the Campfire Blitzens. Wildfire Blitzens boast a grand mane and a pillar of fire for a tail, alongside their other flames they produce, these Blitzens are dangerous by simply being touched, as their flames burn both bright and hot. Like the Frostbite Hound, Wildfire Blitzens have a unique bite, caused by red hot fangs, Wildfire Blitzens are capable of roasting their target by their bite and breath alone. Moreover, these Blitzens are very capable of casting Inferna Magic spells as well. Socially, Wildfire Blitzens live in prides, similar to lions, these Blitzens share a rigid social structure. Their prides are composed of 6 females, their respective cubs, and 1 to 2 males. Wildfire Blitzens are highly territorial as well, marking their land with patterns scorched into the ground. Many believe that Wildfire Blitzens are simply wild versions of Campfire Blitzens, as they share many similarities with each other.”

“Bluefire; [Bloo-fahy-uhr]”
“Up next is the rare Bluefire Blitzens, only found in the tundras and taigas of Estea, these Blitzens are unique in function and abilities. Bluefire Blitzens have an average lifespan of 10 years and can grow to be 14 inches or 0.36 meters in size on average, with some variation depending on subvariant. Physically, Bluefire Blitzens are practically Campfire Blitzens with a few differences. For one, the fires emitted by a Bluefire Blitzens will harm others. Secondly, and most prevalent, Bluefire Blitzens and all flames made will be chilled, instead of burning foes these Blitzens can freeze their targets. Alongside the capability for Inferna Magic, these Blitzens have an affinity for Aquanna Magic. Socially these Blitzens live in solitude, rarely seen with others of its kind. Bluefire Blitzens similar personalities to Campfire Blitzens nonetheless, and can bond with travelers it encounters. Little is known about their exact origin, however Frostkin still have a disdain for these Blitzens as well.”

“Hellfire; [Hel-fahy-uhr]”
“A unique variant of the Blitzens, Hellfire Blitzens can only be found in Hell, as the name would suggest. Hellfire Blitzens have an average lifespan of 15 years, and an average height of 12 inches or 0.30 meters. Physically these Blitzens take a resemblance to Campfire Blitzens, however they bear several differences. Hellfire Blitzens boast 4 tails, each burning with demonic energy. Their flames are incredibly volatile to the surface of Estea, but relatively harmless to the inhabitants of Hell. The fire made by Hellfire Blitzens burns indefinitely, only being put out by holy water. Moreover, these Blitzens have special eyes, which are capable of seeing souls, spirits, and all things invisible. Alongside Inferna Magic, Hellfire Blitzens have an affinity for Abyssal Magic, with these Blitzens being the strongest casters of all variants. Socially, they act no more different than typical Campfire Blitzens and house cats for that matter, as many demons would adopt them as pets.”

“Like the kinship between Frost Hounds and Frostkin, Blitzens have quite the bond with the Scorched. It is believed that the Scorched were the first to domesticate the Blitzens. Blitzens themselves were often perceived as powerful spirits, capable of guiding the dead to the afterlife by using their light. Even recently, Blitzens have a knack for being involved with anything spiritual, acting as a natural deterrent for Whisps and other Spectrals. Additionally, Bluefire Blitzens are believed to be connected with the Yuki-onna. Moreover, Hellfire Blitzens are now being used for official work for the demons of Hell. Using them to locate lost souls and soul smugglers alike. Most importantly, they have remained a major cultural icon across Estea. I even have a pet Campfire Blitzen, his name is Periwinkle.”
