I am so excited to finally finish this digital painting! I had started drawing this about 2 years ago but back then I just didn’t have the skill to make the metal look realistic; it just looked so flat and it had no depth. I got frustrated with it and just couldn’t finish, but recently I’ve been trying to improve and learn as much as possible and decided to take on the challenge of fixing an old unfinished drawing now that I’ve had a lot more practice; I’m really glad I did because this piece taught me so much about shading metal.
I chose to draw Pharah in her Jackal skin because it’s my favorite and I notice there isn’t very much fan-art of her not wearing her default blue skin. I decided to add Mercy like energy beams to my Pharah because I’m in love with Mercy’s wings and the concept of them. I just wanted to make Pharah look more like a robot butterfly.
