For as Cleopatra. The scene where she rolls out of the carpet to meet Caesar sounds soooo sexy. I added the snake as an omen to her future.Just trying out a new thing here.. digital art is no fun at all!! *kills things*

Now that I'm not dead tired and all 'OMFGTHISISAMAAAAAAZIIIING!' I can say something articulate. I agree with some of the others, the carpet looks a bit more like drapery/sheets. But hey, that's closer than the makers of the tv show Rome got. They had her come out of a burlap sack type of thing. The glow around the upper part of the snake made me think it wasn't really there. More like it was a spirit guiding her towards her ultimate (and spectacular) fate.
I personally like the way the cloth/background/skin tone are similar in colors. It draws my attention more to her upper body/face. And I just have to say, this piece makes me want to dye my hair red again. Perhaps after graduation so I don't clash with the purple and gold robes! XD
Oh, and in regards to the one of the comments above, she's naked cause she's offering Caesar her "virginity" (Mek is no where near that but Cleopatra was!) in exchange for his aid in restoring her to the Egyptian throne. Hot naked Cleopatra = Cleo/Caesar sex! And besides that, I'd imagine it's extremely hot in Egypt, let alone being shipped from exhile to the palace wrapped up in a carpet!

Well throughout the whole process, I had meant for it to look like a sorta cloth thing XD, I forgot she came out in a rug until I almost finished the pic and looked up her history. So um.. so in this pic, the rug is reallllly smooth and cloth-like.. and huge XDD There.
Burlap sack?? Gosh, the Cleopatra in that show totally has no style, man!
That's an interesting intepretation of the snake..
I can't think how uncomfortable it would be to be in a carpet during the journey. She probably just disguised herself or something until outside the palace room or something then got into the carpet.. =_+; Then again I don't know much about her history.

I'm all for the cloth-like rug XD And yes, that show made Cleopatra into an opium junkie. But, considering it was from the Roman point of view, I can understand why they made her out to be retarded and less than awe-inspiring.
From what I've gathered, she was smuggled into a tiny cargo hold for the trip up the nile and from the waterfront to the palace she was wrapped in the rug. Once inside the palace she had to remain in the carpet until the rug/tapestry merchant was able to gain access to Caesar's rooms. I've found a few books that stated by the time they rolled her out she was unconscious XD It's so much nicer to believe she rolled out all sexy and seductive looking though.

The only thing I can notice right now is her hair. With her skin so shiny, her hair looks very dull, despite its bright color. So it just needs some extra whiter shinies to make it look like it's in the same light, I think. Other than that, very cool!

I actually thought about that too XD It would at least be not quite so cheap. At least I have to pay myself sick to get my hair dyed beautifully blood red, and for heavens' sakes it's just shoulder-length. XD;;
