umm actually not anymore~
my friends call me Ala..and we used to take the last letter from our name and add "U"~
that´s how Alu was created
some people on dA also used to call me Alu..well I have a lot of nicknames ^^

aaaaand a lot of ppl call me also Alex
My family calles me Alexa but I hate that

thank you ;u; but people from different countries I know usually laugh at me because it sounds like Alah, since some people don´t pronounce "H" at the end xD

yeah I do and it´s not that good because then I don´t know if someone is calling me or a different person
idk maybe because only my parents and family call me that..I liked it when I was smaller but now when I´m older I just don´t find that name "interesting" since that´s how my parents call me. My full name is Alexandra, and also some people call me like that~
usually formal people xD but I like it more than Alexa..
Ala is like a shorten form of Alexandra because I don´t want people to say the whole long name... (still better than Alexa tho)

well...I don´t know if you have this thing in Australia (is that where you are from?) but here in Slovakia, we don´t have the independent name Sasha, but here Sasha=Alexandra!
and because of this..everywhere I go people ask me..
"hi what´s your name?"
"It´s Alexandra!"
"Oh welcome to.... Sasha!
"............
.........
IT´S NOT SASHA!

You pronounce Ala normally like (al-ah) but some people pronounce Alah (the god) also (al-ah) or (ala-H) ok whatever just don´t pronounce H in my name xD

we don´t  have the name Jessie for boys in out country :3 like I know it exists but here we are all named by the calendar..we also celebrate namesday and our parents should choose only names which are in the calendar like of course if she wants, she can name a son Jessie but people would look wierd on that person I dunno if you have this also in australia x3

really? lol it also get annoying when people spell my name 'Jesse' because thats the boys spelling... (well i suppose it can be either why bu thats more common XD) 
yea it is kinda like that XD but im not too sure about the calender thing.. lol i have never heard of that O.o 
but it is strange when you hear the opposite genders name on that gender.... ummmm... if that made any sense at all... hahah XD i hope so...

to tell the truth i think it´s really stupid xC
I know a girl, her name is Chantal and everywhere she goes ppl are like
"whaaaat..why did your parents name you like that"
"can you repeat it? Is your name really Chantal?!"
I can´t imagine how she must feel all the time >.>


and I have to agree! xD sometimes when people ask me and I say my name is Alex they start to laugh if I am a boy xD because here you wouldn´t find a girl whose name is just Alex it´s only for boys~

+ another stupid thing about our names is that in Slovakia we all the time have to add a suffix "ová" when you are a girl after you surname and it´s awful...then good surnames sound silly...Also in the newspapers people write the surnames of celebrities with "ová" and it´s like asdfghjk can u not. I know they always write Jennifer Lopezová xD ppl whyyy

it would he very hard having a different name... my friend is from the Philippines and her name is Jeliah. (gel-e-ah) lol not good that the pronouncing thing XD

it´s really boring to have only like 365 usable names here

Alexandra is like the most common name I know! My mom gave me that name because noobody was named like that and it was kinda rare...NOW there are like 15 Alexandras I know xD
the name Jessie is not here though..we only have Jessica ^^
