Seriously! All the vocaloids are not what everybody says! some have secrets for exemple:Haku supposed to be a negative person and anti social woman but instead she has friends and is alcoholic! She actually sounds drunk but i think her the creator posted the music and all the commentaries told she is drunk!
Neru supposed to be only a rival for miku but instead now she is a troll: Duh! Her design came first and after a Troll make his avatar Akita Neru and after when he post "I quit! I'm Going sleep!" a mishard traduction comes and Smith used this for her name! After everybody thinks she is a troll!
Fave if care about these vocaloids comment if you have a proofs!

Need proof:It all started because of a guy I think, I remember reading about it, that's one of the first things I learned about Neru For the most part she's supposed to be a good a singer as Miku but gets bored and stops half way through songs because she's bored so goes to sleep, and the troll thing was because a person commented on a Miku video (don't remember what they said...) and said something bad, I think, and that led to 'them' making Neru a troll because of that one person who said he wouldn't be mad if they made Neru a troll as long as it was a girl.

Um, not to make anyone angry, but only a very few vocaloids have set personalities. And those personalities are pretty vague. This is because the distribution companies thought that it would be nice for fans to decide their personality traits. Neru could be a drunk, Haku could be a peppy school girl, Rin and Len could be lovers. It depends on personal preference. Please learn more about Neru though. OK... So what I can get here is:
Haku is indeed alcoholic and having friends, but she indeed is a sulky girl. Not by any means antisocial, just sad (as she envies Miku's voice), and she drinks alcohol to relieve it. Her voice is not that bad, it's just not as good as Miku's. Then again, Meiko can sing well even though she's an alcoholic too, lol.
Neru is just born from a troll (specifically, she's designated as "the avatar of those who insult Miku as pointless moeblobs), but she's not so much a troll, she's a tsundere. Additionally, the creator just want to give the trolls a cute avatar so people won't be so mad at them. Though it ends up being a clever irony (a Miku derivate as an avatar for Miku haters).
Rin & Len... Well, I just see them as twins who deeply care for each other. Never so much a lover (Unless if they go with Piko - they're my OT3, lol 
Then again, in case of Haku & Neru, they have canon personalities (although the creators defined them in a shallow way). Rin & Len don't.

Just wanted to say this. No matter what they say, I will always like all the Vocaloids and UTAUs.
Neru is among the ones I love most.

According to me: Neru is just a person who likes critizing everything, and hates Miku alot. Haku is trying to stop drinking alcohol, but can be tempted easily. As for Rin and Len - their behaviour is like two siblings.

Man, people can really take vocaloid seriously. was pretty harsh. if she sees this she'll probably block me too, but I don't care. I kinda agree with you. neru is not a troll, why do people have to be so mean and get so upset about a Silly little computer character?? It makes absolutely no sense to me! Vocaloid was made for people to have fun with, not to bash on other peoples ideas! (sorry about my "rant" XD)
