Hello again,

For this drawing, I wanted to try a different approach to how I normally draw a Chargin’ Chuck. If you look at the Official Nintendo Box Art, these guys are short, stocky and muscular. So why is this Chuck drawn differently then? Not too long ago during the Super Bowl, I was drawing various different poses that the NFL players were making on the field. One of these poses was of a slightly taller than average football player. After drawing this pose in my weird drawing style, I noticed that the NFL pose kind of reminded me of a Chargin’ Chuck holding a football.

After drawing said pose, I couldn’t help but wonder how a Chargin’ Chuck that was tall and lanky would look. The result reminds me of how the weird mushroom in Mario Maker would make Mario into this tall lanky abomination. I guess this is what happens when you apply human proportions to a fictional football playing turtle. The background around him was added digitally and I’m pleased with it for the most part.
