Thanks for the comment. I was thinking about adding even more details but as always I got bored with the painting itself and decided to move onto something else.

I think the painting doesnΒ΄t need even more details. How long did you work on this piece, im just curious

Hmm Hard to say. The original artwork is 6102x2779 and its full of small details. It took me weeks before I finished it. I worked on it for 1-2 a day. Not every day of course. I would say a total of maybe 20h ? It's really hard to say because I usually start painting for 3-4h then I leave it for few days then I go back to it for another 1-2h, then again I leave it for few more days. So its really hard to say how long it takes to finish something like this. But I would say a whole Saturday and Sunday would be enough ( around 20-25h ) . I wonder if there is a some kind of plugin for photoshop that measures how much time you spend on a painting, that would be cool

wow thats a lot of time you are investing there but it worth it!
I also work on my photos for a couple of hours, mostly 1-2 hours and then leave it there for a day. I feel that the longer you are working on something the more you are loosing yourself in the details and forget about the whole picture. I try to restrict my time on a picture to a maximum of 3-4 hours (without the shooting of course). Its not like i dont have more time for my hobby, but i try to keep my focus on the main parts, composition, color, sharpness for example and dont invest to much time in the details.
Well, if you you want to keep track of the time you spend, why not just keep track for yoursel, you dont need an app for that, just write it down

You are right about spending too much time on one painting. Sometimes you just need to know when to stop.
But to be honest with you I just enjoy doing small details, I could spend hours on one section of the painting just adding little details that probably nobody is going to see
But yeah leaving painting for few days and going back to it is a good thing. Usually that's when I realize that the whole painting looks like shit and I have to change a lot of details lol.Β
Also another funny thing is to look at the painting few weeks later after it was finished, It always makes me laugh how bad some of the lines, shapes and details look. I kind of love criticizing my own work.
Oh and keeping track on the time spend on the painting is impossible for me since I do a lot of other thing in-between like browsing internet or playing games etc.
Anyway thanks for the comment and All the Best mate

I get that, loosing yourself in detail, loving that particular point in your work, and i see how you take your best skills to to do that. Thats why i love your Art.
But take care of yourself, you never ever should look back at your past and tell that it is bad. It is good at that right moment and you willl only get better after this.
Leave it, as it is, as it ever will be, dont question it, make it better and you will! I hope to see more of you.

Beautiful! And with a clear HR Giger influence in technique, in the best way. Love it.
