Masked RaiderVersion 1 - 7/2/2022
The "Masquerader" line (6 Sets - 36 Total)
This is my design interpretation of a masked fighter in my art world.
I designed the Masked Raider with a full body trench coat enclosed by a long zipper straight down the middle, plus a high and wide stand-up collar, puffed power shoulders, cinched sleeves (at the elbow), and cinched at the waist with a corset belt. No footwear is shown with the line, but I can picture it with some combat boots. Nothing will be worn underneath. The trench is the one and only signature piece for this line. The character wearing this outfit will be mechanically nude - as in skinless android, mechanical parts showing. Not shown here either, but the face is also going to be covered by what looks to be a venetian style mask, set within a black skintight headcover.
I had an idea for a while about incorporating venetian mask designs with the android lines to give a more doll-like impression, which fits in with "Wardolls", the name of my art project here. Right now, most of the android lines just resemble human girls. I might just recycle the masked army design for something else. To preserve the microcosm of the idea is the Masked Raider.
Their mechanical forms indicate an older design version of the Wardolls, one of the first iterations. They prefer not to wear clothes, but they settled for and modestly blend in human crowds better with their signature trench coat. Their appearance tends to be more jarring for humans due to their exposed mechanical insides, so the full coverage paired with the mask ensures they won't be easily spotted. They're not exactly legal…
In a future version, I'd like to actually showcase the venetian mask. Like I mentioned previously, I'd also like to showcase a pair of boots for the outfit as well. For the coat itself, I actually like the way it turned out on most of the designs. Color themes are interesting for me as well. The only other thing I can consider adding at this point would be a pattern somewhere in the coat.
