Saber Mage

The "Mage Knight" line (6 Sets - 36 Total)

This is my design interpretation of a Saber Mage in my art world.

I designed the Saber Mage with a plunging neckline robe with an elongated front flap, fully exposed thighs and overlayed with a low, wide girdle. The front flap is accompanied by baggy pant legs, extending it to a skirt-like shape. They're accessorized with a pair of tall boots, gloves ranging in different lengths, and matching armlets. The shoulder guard is the most distinguishing feature for this design and has an important functionality for the Saber Mage, acting as a malleable shield where it can reshape itself to shield the mage from harm or be used as glaive weapons to slice enemies.

I love the concept for this design, but I dislike the way I executed it. I had a lot of color misses with this set, too many bright combinations that didn't harmonize well. The sets all feel bottom heavy. I thought I was balancing the bottom with the wideness of the shoulder guard, but it just looks so bulky. In a future version, I'd like to cut off the bottom half of the design so it looks like a short flared, front flap skirt instead. Also, a better rendering for the shoulders because they all look too flat.
