Description
Here's a little thingie I put together, displaying the evolution of my white-tailed hawk/siberian white tiger gryphon character, Lunaflare. I created her three years ago this month, when I was 12, so I decided to record the progress of her changing appearance.

2001: Even though when I first made her she was strictly of white-tailed hawk coloration (barring the dark facial mask), early on I added some changes. The first was the change of the chestnut colored wings to grey, and then, later, the wing markings themselves became thick dark bands, instead of the thin barring of a w-t hawk. The dragon charm on her left ear was modeled after a necklace I wore at the time. The hawk tail on top of the tiger tail was also modeled after a real w-t's.

2002: In the first six months of 2002, there was little or no change to her appearance, but my style begins to improve a little. During the last half of 2002, I reverted the wing markings somewhat back to w-t hawk style. The wings are tipped in black and barred with three thin black ones, in order to mimic the barring of the hawk-tail. The dragon charm becomes a rarely depicted silver loop, and then the jewelery disappears altogether.

2003: Early on, I tipped the four primaries with aquamarine. In late 2003, the most drastic appearance change to date took place. I replaced the dark facial mask with a white one, and added black markings under her eyes, similar to a falcon's malar markings. I tipped the now white ears in black, and changed the top of her head to a fading silver color. I changed three of the primaries back to black and left the first one aquamarine. I merged the hawk and tiger tail to create a true gryphonic tail.

2004: So far, few other things have changed. In the first picture on the bottom left, I was just implementing the new changes into an 'official' piece. In the other, I added a bright scarlet tip to the second primary.
