On Wednesday, February 8, 2006, my grandmother was suddenly struck down by a massive stroke. Today, my family mourns our impending loss. She's in the ICU on a ventilator, yet she has ceased to have any brain function. Tonight, we're going to ask the doctors to stop her vent so she may pass in peace. I'm overcome with grief and anger for the loss of someone so very close to my heart. My family will never be the same without her. I can't bear to see her at all; I don't want my last memory of her to be of her laying in a hospital bed. Words cannot express what I'm feeling right now. Nothing can.
