Ok, it's official!!! As a good beganing of chinese new year, and celebration of my 3000pv mark, I present to you, Drapery.This is a piece that I make for the group Injenart --====---> [link]
suppose to be the release of first pack " Synthetik", but the generous group manager let me a early release~
So, enjoy people~ 26hrs of work in Illustrator 10
Oh, P.S. as so many people asked me wat's the thing on her neck, I'll say it here, so don't ask anymore, lol
The shape on her neck is made by powderpaint, for ceremonies of Umbrella Dance( I think ) in autum~ there you go

I just had to see it up close when I saw this no the front page, it's just amazing. Just one quetion, is there really a kimono tha shows so much skin on the neck? I like it very much, but I've never seen one like this before. The lighting is lovely, and with so much detail you just won't get tired of staring at it. The kanji you wrote down is pretty too. It looks lot better than my handwriting!

i cant help but feel witha work as photographic as this youve lost some of your personal "funk" from your simpler works........... i think in simplifying images you bring more of yourself into the works by what you choose to include and exclude....
that being said a fantastic technical work!

yeh, I actually took a long time creating this pic...and I try to see how complicated I can go with vectors...and I think I'm almost at the limit...not yet...but almost, lol.
And well, this is not one of my favorite either, beleive it or not. I like do make more original art out of original sketchs now~ it's a lot more interesting, more idea expressed

well...I tried to draw kimino before in another piece "lunarial propehcy part II" thought it's already pretty good...but I didn't know I can do it more detail like this one....kinda crazy

well...I use wacom for some parts only, for the kimino's detail,...I actually used mouse...better control for me~ but for out lines and stuff, I use wacom, better curves and flow~

Holy cow. I just started dabbling with vector programs and making the simplest designs are just so hard for me, I can't imagine doing this. This is really excellent work. I love the attention to detail in the fabric on the ground. Awesome!

yeh....well...it just take time to make complicated things....for example, look at the two little blanck and red stick on the belt....each took about 30 min to make, lol.
but I think I won't be creating another detail one like this for a while...too tiring, lol
I'll be making more simple and original style designs
