Sister Nicola is a tragic, tragic little girl, my PC from Broken Souls: Infernal Callings, while Skooj was out of commission for plot reasons.

She's a cloistered cleric of Ascendant Angellia, a nun. Orphaned by her Tordoran parents on the steps of the Cathedral of Morrow in Corvis, Nicola was named and raised by the church, and became a sister in the service of Angellia, and a bookkeeper, and earning the title of Learned One (a homebrew prestige class). Nicola is only 15 years old, and is a very mild, quiet, sweet, sad girl. A very sad girl.

Her one real joy in life, aside from her worship, of course, is her obsession with Garrison's Grenadiers. She followed stories of them in local hearsay and the newspapers, and collected clippings of their stories. She thought they were the dog's bollocks, and dreamed of being a hero like them, travelling, fighting for Cygnar, getting out of the Cathedral...

She worked in the Cathedral's infirmary, as Corvis' cathedral had been converted into a war hospital, and over the course of several months, she was assigned and cared for a specific patient who had been on the verge of death from many many wounds. He was a young man with long hair and beautiful eyes, who sweet-talked her every chance he got. Told her about the adventures of being a merc, of being a soldier, how she would make a good one, etc, and of course, romanced the innocent, foolish young nun. Nicola fell for him, and the day before he was to be released, he promised he would take her with him when he left, but only if she proved how serious she was about leaving. Needless to say, the skeezbag took her virginity that night. Nicola had broken her vows. He left the next day before she was able to come see him, leaving no word.

She kept her indiscretion secret, told noone, and miraculously, noone found out. Ascendant Angellia deigned not to inform anyone. However, she did deign to grant Nicola a spell of great import a week later. It was "Detect Pregnancy."

She'd gotten knocked up.

Not long after that, her heroes, Garrison's Grenadiers blundered into town on some sort of mission, during which Skooj disappeared, he and his pet skigg, Minky Boodle, apparently kidnapped by Thamarites. There were no traces to follow.

When Nicola heard the Grenadiers had arrived in town, she knew what she had to do. This was her chance. Maybe this was Angellia's way of telling her to get out and see the world and learn all she could outside of dusty tomes. So, she packed up her meager belongings and her spare changes of vestments, and followed them as they left town.

Midway through the woods back to Fellig, they noticed they were being followed, and called her on it, prodding her into the open, where they asked who she was, etc... It was at this point that Kimball made the immortal quote recorded in my other deviation, "Iron Quotes 1".

She joined the Grenadiers that day, and went on to help defend Fellig when Khador seiged it, and later save the town of Virdinia from a Tendriculous, as well as an infernalist cult, and become the town's Mayor and High Priestess, sharing correspondance by letter with Decklan, the party's sorcerer. She is currently, in game time, as of this writing, two or three months pregnant.

Damn I love this girl. ^.^

Enough backstory, this picture turned out better than I'd hoped, although I still can't do details or shape on skirts blowing in the wind. Alas. Anyway, Nicola's vestments, once coloured, probably won't look too different, as they're mostly white anyway. It looks there like they have a v-neck in the front, and looks kind of slutty, but once coloured, it'll be apparent that that's actually a layer of white cloth beneath the upper layer of --guess what-- white cloth. The doodlybobber on the forehead of her habit is her holy symbol of Morrow, and the medallion on her choker is her coin of Angellia. I tried to distort the sunburst of Morrow on her skirt to flow with the skirt, but it looks kind of silly. ;.;

However, I'm very happy with how her hair turned out. ^.^

And yes, she does have freckles. She's adorable, and technically still a kid (adulthood is 16 for humans in IK).

Done with a Papermate Erasermate Clear Point 0.05mm Mechanical Pencil, and a Sakura Micron 0.005 Pen.
