“✨Autism Acceptance✨ also means accepting ✨YOURSELF✨”

This piece was a year in the making. I started it back around late March 2021, and diligently worked to get it done on time to upload by April 2, but it wasn’t done by then and so I left it as a WIP to work later to upload this year.
I’m fairly satisfied with how this came out.

I exaggerated Copy’s flexibility to have her resemble an infinity symbol, hence the colors.

FYI: Copy is my fursona, and my online avatar. I’m a diagnosed autistic. Copy is autistic too, but she isn’t diagnosed. (This is because she’s unique for being a shapeshifter. (Story))

The quote was thought up from the struggles I’ve had to face for learning to accept myself as being part of the spectrum.

I don’t know if anyone else has faced a similar struggle, but I used to believe autism was a bad thing. I’ve had to teach myself it isn’t, and learn to accept this part of myself, while unlearning that being autistic doesn’t define who or what I am to others (contrary to what I was taught), and teaching myself that autism isn’t actually bad.
As a matter in fact, it’s good! We need different: different minds. Ideas and opinions. It’s believed Isaac Newton, Henry Cavendish and Albert Einstein were on the spectrum too, just to name a few.

So for any who are struggling with accepting yourself (like me): it will take time, but please, be kind to yourself. Be true to YOURSELF. You are YOU.
