He knew he was finished by this time. My arrow had caught him under the wing on the last pass and he could no longer fly. But the look in Mirmulnir's eyes left no doubt that he would send us all to Sovangarde first if he could.

As Irileth and I closed in for the kill I could hear my blood roaring through my veins. I am no coward, but even had I wanted to flee at that moment something inside me was pulling me towards this majestic behemoth, and I knew I must be the one to strike the killing blow.
