Dan Parker wass an archaeologist based out of Egypt, who discovered an ancient tomb of the Pharaoh Kha-ef-Re which housed a magical red spider amulet. The amulet gave Dan super strength, wall crawling, and the ability to shoot webbing. By uttering the words "Kaji Dha," he would be changed into the hero known as the Spiderman.
His enemies included the Giant Mummy, the Red Knight, Mentor the Magnificent, Praying Mantis-Man, Magno Man, Mister Crabb, the Chlorophyll Man, Mr. Thunderbolt, the Eye of Horus, and Jarvis Kord.
Later, his former student, Ted Kord, became the next Spiderman after Dan Parker, was killed in battle with androids created by Ted Kord's Uncle Jarvis in order to take over Earth. As Dan died, he passed on the responsibility of being Spiderman to Ted, but was not able to pass on the mystical amulet which gave Parker his powers.
