Description
This is the background painting for a seriously hush hush secret project I'm doing (Real Mail Exchange Art Trade thing, not really all that secret, but it's more fun to say that it is) for someone totally awesome. This thing is seriously the most awesome piece of work I've done in forever but something just exploded in my face and told me to do it.That conversation with my artist self went kind of like this:
"Me! OMGWTFBBQ! You do art!"
"Um, yes, Artist!Me, I do do art."
"Yes, but you do all kinds of art."
"Well yes, I do a little bit of everything, drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, knitting..."
"Yeah but you are a horrible segregationist about it."
"Wha?"
"So just stop!"
"Wha?"
"Stop doing one at a time! Do it all at once!"
"Wha?"
"That's right! Paint, bitch, paint! And then draw on it and sew with it and bead the edges and knit a ..."
"Wait! Too much! Slow down!"
"Okay, so for this next project, paint a background then draw the character and then paint the character into the background."
"Oh."
"What're you waiting for! Get to work!"
And then I got to work.
