Work in progress, definitely a work in progress. Everything on this map is prone to change and likely will be as the world evolves and changes. The mountain ranges are technically "borders" to regions but not necessarily nations. Ideally, each "region" is the homeland to an "ethnicity" of humans. Nations, countries, and political affiliation will be added later.

There are currently two areas with lots of thought given to them.

Westreach: Westreach is the region Alternomica has taken place in so far- it is a north western region and the homeland of the Brown Skinned Dark Haired human race. It's heavily forested, covering the range from deciduous to coniferous, ending in frozen tundra. There are two "nations" defined so far, Spring's Grace and Slatewell.

Isle of Beasts: A large and mysterious island to the far south, it is shrouded in mystery and is believed to be home to a slumbering dragon, maybe more. The island is overgrown with massive vegetation, stretching taller than any mountain. The beasts too are insanely massive. It is even rumoured that giants stretching to the heavens live here.

Naturally, I am open to all brainstorming and suggestions for fleshing out the rest of the world. Which ethnicity is native to which region and types of societies.

*** The scale on the left shows basic temperature, with Purple Black being Arctic, Blue being Cold, Blue to Green being Temperate, and Bright Yellow Green being Tropic.

The White/Blue near the top and bottom is "perma-ice" entire "landmasses" of solid ice that never melts. All other places may grow ice sheets during the winters but is not permanent or goes as deep.

Red/Pink is Westreach, Lavender is Isle of Beasts, the Grey is all areas so far undefined.

****** There are no other "known" continents on Alternomica. This is all there is for the time being. No sunken continents (sunken islands and regions are okay though), no "mysterious lands across the ocean", as far as the Alternomicans know these lands are the only ones in the world.
