-Mechanic: He inherited the family autobody shop after a bending accident killed his father. Though young, he had learned the trade early enough to continue the business, and forfeited school in order to save it from loan sharks. After joining the equalists, he helped create and fix some of the electronic gadgets they were equipped with.
-Cook: As an only child whose mother died giving birth to, Jing grew up learning how to cook from working at a neighboring restaurant. Even now, on the weekends when the autobody shop is closed, he sometimes helps out at the same restaurant.
-Chi-blocker: Jing's father knew a little of how to manipulate chi in medicinal practices, and taught Jing how to block chi at an early age. After joining the Equalists, he started to participate in their chi-blocking classes as well, to advance his technique. Though not one to start a fight, Jing is not afraid to pull any moves or tricks that would allow him to quickly end the fight.
Personality:
-Serious: Having to take responsibility for a family shop at a young age has made him a bit too serious a person. He also doesn't actively look for friends, and instead contents himself with having his tools as his friends. As such, each of his tools has a name, and Jing often talks to them to pass the time. Heavily influenced by his father's philosophy, Jing believes whole-heartedly that "You build your life on blood, sweat and tears." Thus, Jing prioritizes diligence and hard work over talent, and believes that one can achieve one's goal through hard work.
-Business-driven: Though Jing doesn't hate benders, he doesn't like them either. He still holds a grudge towards the benders who murdered his father, but he also has benders at the restaurant he works at who have helped him in the past. Bender or nonbender, as long as they require his services and he makes money for his family autobody shop, Jing would not hold a bias. Strictly speaking on the business side, joining the Equalists was more profitable. And Jing would do anything to keep his father's company alive, even if it means putting up with the the bullying from loan sharks and Yeonghwa.
RP sample:
Jing watched as the last customer of the day drove off in their newly patched Satomobile, and winced as the young driver immediately floored it. That kid will be coming back in a couple of days with a dozen more scratches and a few misfired cylinders. But hey, Jing wouldn't complain - rich kids mean more business. And more business meant his dad's autobody shop wouldn't have to shut down from debt.
Jing closed the shop doors, swept and mopped the floor, and carefully put away his tools, going through the same motions that he'd done every day for 12 years already. Only when the shop was clean did Jing turn the shop lights off and head upstairs to his little workshop, where he was greeted with a mess of scraps, parts, and gadgets. Pulling his work gloves back on, he addressed them warmly,
"Well, Lin-Rin, what should we build today?
Additional notes:
-The ring on the necklace around his neck is his mother's wedding ring, and the only reminder he has left of her.
-Those glasses were a birthday present from his father a few days before he died. He wears them whenever he's outside and away from the shop.
-Jing's autobody shop is called "Yu Family Autobody Services"
-Fei Yen also works at his shop.

Jing: I was brought up to value customers first as a good business model. It's not the best kind of neighborhood around here, so we all tend to look out for each other.

xD Haha, in Jing's mind, customers come first! It's how he was raised, and it's kept his business from going under several times. And I expect Jing has a gut feeling he should establish good relations with a potential regular. ;>

...a pressure point? *his eyes flicker to his wrist for brief moment* He's...an equalist...then. Or an associate. Well, I wouldn't have known if it weren't for that. *looks back at Jing, his expression returning to his blank one* I will. You don't need to convince me. *nods briefly*

Moki: I will if I ever feel the need to, but...*voice trails off for a moment* I have a feeling there won't be any need to do so. *finishes wrapping his hand before putting the box of bandages back down* I'll be back in two days, but if it's not done by then or if you're got other jobs to work on...you can take your time. *rubs the back of his neck* I think I've got a good excuse in mind. Well, one that will buy me some time, anyway.

Hahaha - he leaves to buy groceries, spare parts, etc... and attend Equalist rallies, of course. Otherwise, I guess his skin's pretty light for a reason, haha. xD
Hmm, if Moki didn't show up after a few days or so, Jing would probably go and look for him (since he hasn't paid...haha xD;; ). Since he's pretty sure Moki's an Equalist, or at least a chi-blocker, he'll probably ask around his Equalist connections. He'd first contact the person who hooked him up with the Equalist motorbike service job, who would most likely give away Moki's boss. He'd introduce himself as a friend of Moki's, since we can't have the boss accidentally tying the connection between a mechanic, a missing bike, and a missing Moki, haha. If the boss reveals that Moki was sent on an assignment/errand, Jing would probably ride around in his bike in that location, scouting for him.
(And then if that doesn't work, ask around his chi-blocking classmates if they've seen/heard of him. Or if anything, ask around at the next chi-blocking class, if there is one conveniently that week, haha).
Oh, and if Moki was ever hurt, or Jing finds him injured somewhere in his search, he'd motorbike him back to the shop where he'd make him food and let him heal, haha. All for the sake of getting his money and getting a loyal customer, mwahahaha *shot* Any leads you want to take? xD

He hadn't shown up at Jing's shop after that two day period. The bike issue was still in the back of his mind, but there was another pressing matter to attend to. Moki had been on an assignment with a group of two others: but through a series of unfortunate events, he was once again alone. On the outskirts of the city in a wreck of a warehouse, Moki had spent the last twelve hours stuck inside. He wasn't as lucky as the other two equalists in his group - they had managed to get outside before an earthbender had created some sort of landslide, essentially burying the whole building underground. He looked upwards, seeing a small source of light flooding in from the windows at the top of the warehouse, near the beams across the ceiling.
Maybe someone would notice and ...think about searching the sunken building?-..no, he doubted it. The average citizen would know better than to even step into this particular district when the whole place was associated with a particular triad. So that meant he'd need to find a way to get to the top of the warehouse and out those windows.
(there you go, there's my intro since I couldn't write that in script format haha OTL)
Moki: And at this rate...I'm going to run out of air. *slowly pulls himself to his feet, wincing at a few injuries he had sustained* Argh-...come on. Move!

"Thanks again," Jing said as he closed the door behind him. He had finally managed to track down the customer's, Moki's, boss. After the two day period had passed and no customer or payment arrived, Jing took matters into his own hands. The Equalist middle man to his previous motorbike service order proved immensely helpful - especially in the whereabouts of Moki's boss. Once he located the boss, he was met with little resistance, most likely due to the good word thrown in about him from the Equalist middleman.
The boss had revealed the general location of Moki's most recent assignment, but not the purpose. Fair enough. Jing didn't care about the assignment - there was a business transaction at stake here. He then gave the boss his business card and left the office.
Once outside, Jing flipped up the kick stand to Moki's repaired bike, hidden around the building, and rode off towards a triad's turf. From the shadows on the road and the dimming of daylight, Jing realized he didn't have too much time before the sun set and a search for today would be futile.

Jing: What a day. Good thing business was slow this morning. //After a good deal of driving, he had finally entered the triad's territory and had slowed the bike, keeping to the shadowed alleyways to avoid attention.//
//Once he reached just on the outskirts of the city, he parked the bike in a discreet location - the rest of the search would have to be done on foot.// The boss said the assignment would most likely end in a scuffle with the benders. But so far, I haven't seen any signs of a fight...!
//He turned a corner and stopped short. In front of him was what looked like a building caught in a landslide - definitely the work of an earthbender. Jing carefully made his way over to the mound, wary of passerbys and hostilities. Stepping over the earth-covered roof tiles that protruded from the wreck, he knelt down and listened for movement under the roof. Unable to distinguish much and unable to shout in fear of attracting attention, Jing tapped the roof 3 times.//
If anyone's in there, I hope this gets their attention.

Moki: *perks his head - hearing some sort of tapping sound* *at first he's hopeful, but then it's not sure what to think*................................Either someone's come to finish me off, or...............it's a bystander. *remains silent for a moment and is unsure of what to do* ... ... ... ... ... If someone's here to finish me off...I don't think I'll manage. Are they here to check if I'm dead?
*thinks of an idea*
Moki: I can't believe I'm doing this... *pauses for another brief moment, pulling down his mask...before...imitating a distressed trapped cat or something similar.*
*the 'meow' echoes through the warehouse before dying off*
Moki: *and he starts coughing from the dust in the place, holds a fist against his mouth to stifle the noise as best as he can*

Jing: //Ear to the roof, Jing was surprised to hear a cat's meow in response. He stayed still and thought for a moment, trying to determine whether the meow was an actual cat. The stifled noise that followed the meow a little later was harder to make out, but Jing's gut said that sound was human.// So it's most likely a person, or a person with a cat. It could be that they might be thinking it's safer to communicate in something other than spoken language - smart thinking around these parts. On the other hand, it could be a trap...
//Jing hesitated a bit more, but then decided that the majority of bully benders from gangs couldn't be this smart. Speaking from experience of course.// I'll follow this lead for now.
//He checked the portable pack of electric rods he had taken with him before leaving the shop, double checked the perimeter, and then in the best imitation he could come up with, answered,// Meow...

*he starts to shift towards the side of the building with the window, trying to step quietly and attempting not to stumble over the debris. The place is dimly lit so it's not an easy task, not to mention he's not particularly stable...maybe he hurt his leg or something*
*he meows back every few steps he makes, pausing inbetween - to rest and to hear a response. Moki's using the meowing to navigate through the darkness, following the source of the voice; his imitation of a wounded cat is ...well, a pretty accurate representation of his injured state.*
*pauses once more*.....................Ah. Wait...What if it's actually a cat?-...I hope not. *eventually he reaches the edge of the warehouse, near the window... and taps three times on a metal beam with the back of his palm*
((it's absolutely ridiculous, isn't it? Setting a grand example for all equalists out there, yep. pfftt

Jing: //Jing kept his ear close to the roof, listening for the mewing sounds. They were hard to hear, and some were softer than others, but they seemed to be traveling. So Jing inched along the top of the roof, listening intently. He eventually got to the edge of the roof, and waited. But the mewing had stopped.// Maybe it was just a cat...
//But then, Jing distinctly heard three taps below him. He looked over the edge of the roof and noticed a tiny window almost buried underneath the mound of earth. He couldn't see anything through it, but responded almost immediately with another three taps.// No, most definitely not a cat.
//He studied the window for a bit, and then set to work. Aided by his wrench, Jing started digging a hole around the window first. When enough room was available to see the bottom rim of the window, he took out a screwdriver and began trying to the pry the window open. The window was stuck fast though, so Jing went to the Plan B - breaking it open. He knocked on the window again to try and get the attention of whoever was inside, and made frantic motions of 'move away from the window!'//
//Waiting a small amount of time to allow the person inside to move away, Jing then took up his wrench. He looked at it, and said,// I'm sorry, Meimei, but I'm going to have to use you as a blunt weapon just this once.

Moki: *slumps down by the wall to rest - he isn't sure who it is, but whoever it is...they've managed to figure out he's not a cat. Well, that's what he assumes, anyway.*
*more light floods the warehouse - something Moki becomes aware of. He manages to get up to his feet again...hearing the knocks from the window above. He peers at the window and sees some sort of blurry shape ---* Move? --...ah. Right.
*drags himself away from the window, just in time!* *the window shatters a minute later, shards of glass litter the floor of the warehouse from above*
*coughing as some dust clouds rise and then fade, waving a hand to ward away the dust so he can breathe properly* *he walks back to look up and out the window - it's a few metres above him* ...Sorry, this cat can't really climb too well right now. *his voice is barely audible, but the reverberation carries the sound to Jing's ears*
