Description

Part II of the Calm Within Chaos series.
Blue jays have always been one of my favorite feathered beasts, despite me not being able to describe why. One of my personal symbols has been a red jay, so that contributes, but these little guys are neat. And noisy.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey with this style and series. Working on series has always been a struggle of mine, yet this one feels true and organic, like it's pouring out from the heart. I take that as a good sign.

Blue Jays are lovely little characters. They are in the family Corvidae, just like crows and ravens, and I think it shows in their cleverness, curiosity, and sometimes mischievous behavior. I love watching these guys at my bird feeders(even if they are a bit LOUD)Β
WONDERFUL painting. The feathers are so fluffy and detailed, and I love how hazy and dreamlike the image is. And the gorgeously vivid blues contrasting with the darkness makes the painting even more striking and visceral.Β
Fantastic work!

Your art is absolutely amazing. I love the way the figures blend with the background, and the exquisite detail makes them look like photographs. The contrast between light and dark is just exquisiteΒ Β

I like the colors, and how the water, the patches of blue in the water, and how have you depicted the torso. I love it.
