Acrylic paints on a peacock feather.
Would anyone be interested in a little tutorial or how-to on how to paint these suckers? I've had a decent amount of people asking about the process and such.

This is amazing.
It reminds me of when my mom used to paint rocks, she'd pick up some interesting looking ones then follow some of the natural lines to paint horses and waterfalls, etc on them.

Those must have been beautiful.
I've got these slats of rock sitting outside that I've been meaning to paint on for ages, your comment is making me want to clean some up and paint on them.

haha cool! Yeah we used to visit a farm a lot and my mom would collect feather rocks, etc for various crafts, but she never painted feathers, I tried sending her a link to see what she says about it haha. I have no doubt she'll love it.
I sooo want to get back into crafts again, I need to take the time to do so, I miss it I should make my mom help me XD

This is one of my favourite feather paintings of yours! The detail towards the back of the eagle's head is fantastic <3
And yes! I'd be interested in a tutorial!

It is kinda tough but it gets easier with practice. Like everything else.
I'll be setting up a tutorial for my next feather.

yeah, I am I aaaaam! I sure am interested~! In fact, I wanted to try this for quite a long time but all information I have about painting on feathers is a bit messy so I have never really tried it.. little tutorial would be awesome and really helpful, I think
and about this particular painting, well.. awesome like usually.. and because I hate 'oh my, awesome!' comments, I'll try to critique.. I am not a big help and cannot make proper critique, but I think the eye could be a little darker, with tiny bit of orange.. or just some shadows? it would better fit in the rest of the picture O,o nevermind, it's just personal preference not 'mistake' or whatever
