Description
How is it that my iPhone takes better photos in unnatural lighting than my $500 camera??So this is my entry for 's contest, here: [link]
STIIIIIIIIIGMA
I've been on a sculpting kick lately, so why not. I need more practice. I'm really enjoying it, but need to take a little break now to get other projects completed.
Anywhoodle, done with Original Sculpey and painted with acrylics.

It was an entry for a contest, we needed to do some artwork of their characters.

Oh! I love the details on this. All the little threading, the smooth color transitions, the ornate headpiece/antennae -- very impressive. I much do like it.
Looking at the other two you updated, they kinda reminded me of something I found in a Goodwill store a few weeks back (essentially a sculpy-esque thing that had been built with the base of a bottle.) Picture is here: [link]
Thought that might be something that would interest you. Not sure how they made it so rigid on the inside, but it's little more than what appears to be a plastic bottle. It might be something to work with.
Either way, LOVE this stuff. So glad to see you expanding into scultpure work. It's such a cool medium.

Original Sculpey? Oh my, how is that thing not dust with all those little details?

My VERY first dragon was done in super sculpey. The frill turned to dust at a slight touch. Ever since then I've stuck with SuperSculpey and Firm

Oh, man! Nice work, Kodriak! People rarely enter sculptures into my contests, but when they do they generally miss a whole lot of details because my characters are so hectic, but this is spot on! You should be incredibly proud of yourself, thank you for entering!

What is this? It's wonderful, the exact kind of weird imagination-kick I've been needing for my Si-Fi novel, thanks.

Thanks! It was a bit time consuming, but details make it worth it.
