Description
Introduction to the second game in the Luxor Series. Most of the design is exactly the same as the first game. Enemy design is as simple as the sphere design (just a sphere with eyes and 'armor') and looks like an unhappy face when viewed from the top (same as those in the first game). However, this game has three difficulty modes instead of one and the game music is also different.The objective of this game is the game as those in the first game (to remove spheres in various lines of spheres on a set track by exploding groups of three or more spheres before they enter the pyramid at the end of a track). Like the first game, players earn a coin for removing a large number of spheres with a sphere shot and earn an extra life for every 30 coins obtained. Extra lives remaining at the end of the game will score 50,000 bonus points each.
Every third match or second chain collapse will drop a powerup. Catch it with the shooter to activate it. Here are the types of powerups (which is the same with the addition of the scorpion powerup):
INSTANT EFFECT POWER-UPS
· Instant effect power-ups activate instantly when caught
Speed Shot (Jackal Head)- Speeds up the shooting of the spheres and projects a colored line to where the sphere will be placed if currently shot.
Color Bomb (Scarab)- Destroys all spheres on the screen with the color of the powerup, e.g. a red Color Bomb destroys all red spheres.
Reverse (Maat Feathers)- Makes the string of spheres go in the opposite direction, that is, away from the pyramid.
Slow (Cobra)- Slows down the spheres.
Stop (Praying Man)- Pauses the movement of the spheres.
Pyramid Defense (Scorpion)- Launches a magical scorpion from the pyramid that moves along the path destroying the first 10 spheres it encounters. Note: It only affects spheres in the first segment it encounters.
SHOOTER POWER-UPS
· Shooter power-ups change the primary sphere or primary power-up when caught. Can be swapped by right-clicking.
Lightning Ball (Lightning Bolt) - A lightning ball which shoots a vertical bolt of lightning, destroying all spheres in its path. Good against spheres on long vertical paths.
Fireball (Sun Hieroglyph) - A fireball which, when shot, destroys a large amount of spheres. Good against groups of non-matching spheres.
Wild Ball (Eye of Horus) - A special ball which can represent any color ball, so it can be used with two (or more) balls of different or the same color to make a match.
