Trait & Personality: Timid; Often lost in thought.
A bundle of worries and anxiety, Farley doesn't seem cut out for the line of work he's chosen. However, internally he is quite adamant about a lot of things: likes, dislikes, and the like; Farley just keeps most of this locked up in his own thoughts, rather than sharing with a group. This might be why he chose to go solo in a guild.

=====================================================================
After waiting outside in the cold, windy, and foggy midmorning, in the rain, no less, I finally decide to knock on the door. I find it odd that whoever was inside had not seen me through a window or the like. 'Maybe they aren't welcoming visitors after recent disaster', I think to myself.
Come in, come in! My goodness, come in! I can't believe you've all been waiting outside in the rain all this time! You could have knocked earlier, you know!
"I thought someone would be checking out the window…" I try to reply, but the Ninetales in front of me continues, much to my displeasure and annoyance. 'Does he run on his own hot air or something?'
My name is Callahan, or Calla, for short. I'm the guild registrar, you know. I'm quite good at it!
'You're also good at tooting your own horn and not getting to the point…' Despite my mental commentary, I try and be as polite as possible for him. Like he says, he's the Guild Registrar, meaning I need to show some level of respect.
Oh, please allow me to take your belongings; they're all wet! I'll just hang them in front of the fireplace to dry as we go over the formalities. Don't forget to take them when we're done! You wouldn't believe how many people leave their accessories here with me! (Please don't do that, I have so many things cluttering up my attic in dusty old boxes..)
He's rather pushy about drying my lone red scarf, I notice, which honestly confuses me. Not entirely sure why he took it in the first place.
And the paperwork, of course! There will be a lot of that, don't you worry one bit!
'Why is he smiling about that, and why do I have a sense of foreboding?'
You do have the forms that we've mailed you filled out, yes? That does always make things go much quicker here.
"Yes, I have them here in hand…" Again I try and reply, but get cut off within seconds. 'This fox really doesn't leave room for anyone else to speak, does he?'
What's this? These forms are soaking wet.. and the ink has run! Goodness, we're in for a lot more paperwork than I could have hoped to dream of!
"They didn't look that wet; I even kept them from getting rain or the like on them while I journeyed here…and was the ink really running?" I resisted the urge to grumble; he's got good hearing, even if he doesn't seem to use it.
No matter, I have spare forms, and all the time in the world! I trust you have no pressing appointments yet, so I'll write down your information now.
With your help, of course.
I honestly don't mind; I've waited long enough and I'm not going to quit just because of an absent-minded Fire-type.
Let's get right down to it, shall we? My fastest time for entering a team in the official guild registrar is a touch under a few hours; let's see if we can break the record!
All right now…name, please?
"Farley," I strain to keep my tone polite and sociable.
Ahh.. what.. commo- er, good names you all have! How do you spell it?
"F. A. R. L. E. Y. Farley."
Interesting spelling! Are you foreign? French, perhaps?
"As far as I know and am concerned, no…" I'm wondering if he made that word up, or if he likes to read fiction and gets lost in that.
Ah, no, forget it, France is just made up here, you know, often used as comic relief. Er, just forget that.
Moving on!
What alias do you wish to give you lot of fellows? I hope it's something good! I've been so bored by Pokemon insisting to use a name like "Team Awesome" or anything of the sort. More like "Team Mediocrity," I like to think! I'm sure you have a much more original name.
"Viridian Vagrant". This time I do reply curtly, and a bit rude, despite myself.
I knew you wouldn't let me down! Is that the normal spelling, or do you insist on losing letters, or replacing them altogether entirely? (I hope not..)
"No, none of that…silliness," while I may not have a true disdain for that, his demeanor sets me a bit on edge. I don't think I've ever dealt with such an irritating Pokémon in my entire life…though that might not be saying much.
And…done. All right! Next topic!
You there, lad! You seem to be the leader…and only member…of the team, here. Why don't you tell me about yourself? Please make it interesting! I'm not filing a police report, you know. I don't get paid for this, either. I do it for the stories people tell! Everyone has a story! (Some are better than others, though. That's for sure..) However, I do hope yours isn't filled to the brim with angst and darkness, you know. We have enough of that as it is with the recent crises we've been going through!
If you insist on weaving a yarn of incredible sadness and general malaise, please make it good. I'll discern the necessary details from your story and put it down in the log book here.
"I don't really have much of a 'tale' to tell, really. I grew up with my parents and older brother, who I've never gotten along with, and decided a year ago, after hearing a bit more about them, that I wanted to join a guild here in Tao Village…so I traveled here…" I'm worried greatly that my 'tale' is too short, too generic, and too boring…'Will I lose my chance to join because of this?'
What an enchanting tale! I can see why you'd probably like to join the Rescuers, correct?
"No…I want to join the Rogues." I correct him as quickly as possible.
Ah, the Rogues, you say! Alright…here we are now…
He pauses and jots some more down. 'I get the feeling he likes going slow on purpose…does he annoy people on purpose or something?' I can't help but think now.
Very well, then! It seems I have all I need in order to register you here in our peaceful Tao Village! If during your travels you decide to recruit or add on an extra member to your team, please have them visit me and fill out the necessary info at the top.
I don't think I'll keep you here any longer, I have everything I need from you! I haven't broken any records for time tonight, though. Your story took up quite a bit of it! (Thankfully, it didn't put me to sleep…it's happened before). Time to conclude our business here!
He ushers me out quite hastily, without giving you a chance to claim your belongings. It is only after I'm not quite pushed out in the pouring rain and the door closes behind you do you realize this. My belongings are returned with cheer once I remind him, and I can only wonder whether or not if it's the teams who actually forget them, and not Callahan.
