Apple had not been doing much but being upset after the ending of his relationship with Siku. He had been acting withdrawn not just towards her, but everyone before that. Plum was very worried about him, and eventually came into the room with Kiwi. She sat down by Apple in his bed. "Apple, you need to try to go out again. This isn't you, I don't know what happened, but please, start going out again." Apple glanced at his sister and sighed. He had his eyes watering up a bit. Kiwi looked at Apple with both a little bit of confusion and concern. Plum looked into his eyes. "Apple, you are my brother, and that won't ever change, but you need to try to get back to your normal self." Apple blinked, trying to get the tears to decide to roll down and maybe stop, it didn't work though.

"I know you are worried about me sis, but I don't know why I am like this. I was just so happy with Siku, and then once Kiwi was born, a huge dark cloud suddenly came. I don't know what to do Plum." He looked at Plum, his eyes becoming more red as he cried more. "If I knew why this was happening, I would stop it. I hope you understand." Apple looked away after that ashamed to be crying in front of both Kiwi and his sister. "I just want my little girl to be okay, but I can't even get out of bed." Apple hid his face from Kiwi and Plum in shame.

"Apple, I think you may have gotten post bow depression." Plum said very gently, not wanting to upset him too much. "It happens on rare occasions to a parent, and usually more often affects the bow holder, which you were." Plum hugged Apple close to her. "I will do whatever I can for you, but you need to spend time with your daughter. You need to do stuff with her, or you'll miss out on so much." Apple nodded after Plum said this and motioned for her to give Kiwi over to him.

"Daddy, why are you sad?" Kiwi asked once Plum left the room.
"Well, daddy doesn't know why sweetie, but he will try to be happy again. I love you very much." Apple laid down for a bit, trying to get the tears to subside before hugging them close. "Your daddy will always love you no matter what is going on with him Kiwi, please remember that."
"I love you too daddy."

I really hope I didn't destroy you all with feels or anything, but this post bow depression is based off of postpartum depression which can occur after having a child. It often happens with mothers, but can also on more rare occasions happen to fathers. Also, do not worry, Apple will make it through this, it is just going to take time. He knows Siku no longer wanting to be with him is his fault due to him not seeking help when he first started to struggle. And yes, there will be more Apple and Kiwi in the future.

Also whoo hoo I got to the 300 Bells mark!
