Description
Blitzkrieg Commander 23,000 points of American Armour Division (2x HQ, 1x CO, 3x M26 Pershing, 2x M36 Jackson, 1x M8 Greyhound, 12x M4 Shermans)
3,000 points of American Airborne (3x HQ, 1xCO, 18x Paratroopers w/ Bazookas, 3x Engineers, 3x 57mm ATG, 2x 75mm Artillery Support Units)
These are counters I have produced for the tabletop game; Blitzkrieg Commander 2 [link] that focuses on battles ranging from 1-to-1 battle all the way to company and division level of play. These counters are supposed to represent, roughly, company level of play. Best printed off on thick card and then glued to another sheet to make extra durable and easy to pick up.
How to Use: Print on to A4 sized card at exact size, there will be trimmings as the forces aren't that large.
Counter Attributes:
Top Left: Hit Points
Top Middle: Unit Type
Top Right: Nationality Flag
Middle: Unit Image
Bottom Left: AT (Anti-Tank) value / Range value
Bottom Middle: Armour Save
Bottom Right: AP (Anti-Personal) value / Range value
Everything you need for immediate play except the given movement ranges that you could easily jot down on the counter somewhere but I didn't do this as it would make the counter look cluttered. Also the point cost and added restrictions/abilities are also not present, hence the need for the rulebook.
Two very unique types of army, well maybe except the Airborne as a vast majority of army lists will look like these! The Armoured Division is by far the most versatile when compared to other nations with the massive exception of the German NW Europe army list that is far better and have more units available. All I can say from the off about American tanks are they are the all-rounders at everything. The Pershing are probably the only tank that can go toe-to-toe against Tigers and King Tigers in the same theatre of war. I will have to wait and see about that but those are the main tanks I use in Flames of War.
The Airborne deploy different but have the unfortunate luck of not having a single armour save to keep them from dying in droves! While the enemy still need 6 hits to destroy a single one and the player only rolls 5 dice for suppression the Airborne have their work cut out for them. The Bazookas will be a massive help when in close and should be able to take a few tanks out at close range before assaulting the enemy. Engineers are useful for clearing natural and man-made terrain as well as having the bonus of having Flamethrowers against enemy infantry.
