ribbon ruby! spinel’s companion on earth who she may or may not have a thing for.
a member of the squad of rubies that rhodonite was training once upon a time, ribbon ruby was one of the few rubies in her line to not be shattered during the war. she escaped to earth with spinel, and they hid themselves away together until they were found by a collection of other renegade gems.

ribbon is a fast and ambitious little thing, always believing she had more in her than to just be a footsoldier for homeworld. she watched as the rebellion was formed, and was absolutely fascinated with the idea of revolution. sent into war against the rebels, this ruby escaped being shattered very narrowly, grabbing as many of her comrades as she could and trying to escape. only one of them would leave with her, and that was spinel.
ribbon ruby gained her name way back, on homeworld. a gem in her sector had brought back various souvenirs from earth for show, and spinel found herself interested in the ribbon, among other things. in the past, ruby had run into many issues with her hair, as her afro was particularly long at the front, no matter how she tired to reform with it. spinel suggested she regenerate with something like the ribbon to hold it back, and it’s worked for her ever since! spinel was delighted and ribbon ruby gained something individual.
filled with passion and determination, spinel finds her an inspiration and wants to be like her one day.
