Description
POV: you Googled “fancy Pidove breeds” on your Rotom phone“Drosselmeyer” (Pidove & Hoothoot)
Despite the disturbingly large eyes (and the rumored inability to blink), many Trainers both in and out of Contest circuits value Drosselmeyer Pidoves as amazingly good keepers of the time, especially when away from cities or lacking a watch. This Pidove variant can hoot on the hour, every time without fail.
“Drillbit” (Pidove & Pikipek)
A fidgety but hard-working variant. They enjoy drilling holes into walls, often in an attempt to find food or make themselves a nest.
“Bonnet” (Pidove & Rufflet)
Despite their namesake ‘bonnet’ of feathers, Bonnet Pidoves have very keen eyesight, and with it very sharp claws. Many Coordinators file these claws down to prevent injury, but Rangers who practice falconry value this variant for that very asset.
“Swaddled” (Pidove & Swablu)
Swaddled Pidoves are one of the smallest variants, and so frequently sought-after for those in the Cuteness Circuit of Contests. However, their adorable appearance makes people easily forget that despite being Pidoves, they have the temperament of their Dragon-type sires. Only Trainers/Coordinators who have had experience with Dragon types should try to train these variants without assistance.
“Heimlich” (Pidove & Natu)
It was thought long ago that the digestive crop of a Heimlich Pidove could nullify any toxic substances the Pokémon ingested. While this is technically true–the organ helps get rid of about 90% of poisons before being digested–many people in ancient times (and a few quacks) thought that this can carry on when taken out of the Pokémon and used as a filter or sieve for their own food.
Needless to say, no. No it doesn’t.
