Description
an oil painting on canvas of mr Toad, based the novel The Wind in the Willows//notes:
been a while painting animals, but had a recent reinvigoration to paint a childhood favorite: toads/frogs.
tried to keep my brushstrokes in this painting a bit loose and “painterly?” .. was sort of forced to by the smaller canvas xD but i like how it turned out
[will experiment further with combining the looser brushstroke “illusion of detail” and the tighter detailed brushstrokes]
might be the first in a series idk, stay tuned?
