Description
This is my most recent sculptural piece to date. It was done for an Art unit which I did on The Beatles.Heads are made of plasticine, skeletons of wire, and bodies of thick aluminium foil. The Beatles logo on Ringo's kick drum was done by glueing a cut-out transparent sheet where I printed their logo. (You can probably guess that from the picture.) The heads are intended to somewhat resemble the originals as of their early days at the Ed Sullivan Show.

Yeah, they do look kinda like 'em. I based their stylized faces on snapshots from their first performance at the Ed Sullivan Show, which I grabbed from the Anthology DVDs.

This is brilliant! tehy are the best band EVER for one, and they look so much like them its scary!
i lov e the simplicity of the lines, but how complex they look at the same time with the light on the metal and the angles and shapes.

This is one of my personal favourites too. I wish I still had the picture I based it on. I'd love to show theeir faces next to my versions of them and how much they look alike. I think I really managed to capture the essence of each beatle's facial features that them look like who they are.

great job. the wire and the plasticine work well together. the only thing i cringe at are those globs of hot glue on their feet and hands. but great skill otherwise . thumbs up

I appreciate the feedback, and yeah, I understand.. I don't like them too, but they don't stand otherwise. I guess I could have glued them more subtly, but I was in a hurry at the time. heh
