hey talk abt a blast from the past!
this is alice, my adventure time oc from when i was 12. after watching obsidian i wanted to draw her again bcs,,, she really meant a lot to me when i was a kid
weirdly this isnt much of a physical redesign bcs her original design was.. yanno. fine! i actually still like it. here it is if ur curious:

some of the colours were changed around to match w the ice king (her skin was much paler originally, and so i had to change the lighter blue on her dress bcs otherwise it blended in)
most of the changes were to her character/her story. in the original shes kinda,, bland? she didnt really change or grow much so i decided to make her an antagonist, at least when she's first introduced. (it should be noted that i stopped watching the show quite a while ago, so her story might have some big canon shaped holes other than the obvious 'ice king has a child')

basically she was crafted by the ice king accidently brought to life by a magically storm (think sorta like galatea). the ice king is intially invested in alice but due to his madness quickly loses interest and accidently abandons her in the ice kingdom after which he forgets about her. alice - being a small child - starts crying and discovers she can also make ice citizens by making a dog which she names snowball. in both her excitement of discovering her powers and fear of being alone she ends up creating a small town. however the people in the town are basically just reflections of alices self and as she grows older she longs for some genuine connections with other people.
her introductory episode would probably start with how she sees finn and jake entering and exiting the ice kingdom but every time she attempts to talk to them they dont hear her. eventually she slips an invite to a 'special ice kingdom celebration' with a drawn map leading to her town into finns backpack. finn and jake think this and believe its an incredibly obvious attempt at a trap by the ice king but decide to go anyways. theyre both very suprised when they discover the town, and the fact the ice king is nowhere around. alice explains that the celebration is for a the longest night of winter, and the town voted finn and jake as the guests of honour. jake is suspicious of alice but finn feels bad letting her down so agrees to stay for the celebration. a few time jake would try and convince finn to leave, only to be stopped by alice conjuring something to capture jakes attention. eventually though finn does get tired of playing around and tells alice they need to leave, one of the other kingdoms might need there help. alice's anxiety creates a giant ice monster that begins to attack the town. finn and jake take down the giant ice monster which alice uses as an excuse for them to stay longer - since the town needs to thank finn and jake for saving them.
this continues (finn attempting to leave and alice using her magic behind their backs to create an excuse to make them stay) until finn puts his foot down and yells at alice that theyre leaving. alice becomes upset, and this causes snowball to transform into a large icy wolf form which begins to attack finn and jake. alice is initially horrified by snowballs new form but after she, finn and jake are stuck behind an ice wall alice created she becomes angry and starts yelling at them, blaming them wanting to leave on snowballs state because alice did everything they wanted from her and still wanted to leave her behind. jake feels guilty until finn calmly but firmly tells her that just because they were leaving didnt mean they werent going to be her friends anymore and that friends arent just "people around you all the time" but instead "people that care about you".
snowball manages to rip through the wall but alice stands in front of finn and jake, protecting them. snowball calms down and shrinks back down to her previous size. alice apologises and says she needs to "work on some stuff". finn says he did have fun and enjoyed her company, and maybe when she feels better they could hang out sometime. alice says she'd like that. the episode ends with alice heading off on her own adventure.
alices arc would probably continue on as she develops friendships with people and starts growing as a person - marceline i think would probably be like an older sister figure and try and help her work through some of her feelings abt the ice king bcs she Knows That Feel. id also like for one of her episodes to be her in a toxic relationship with someone just using her for all the cool stuff she can do (basically after being really selfish in her first episode she tries to 'fix' it by being nice to everyone and gets taken advantage of) and one of her Main Character friends would have to convince her of her own worth and teach her to put her foot down. as she goes through the series she gathers more control over her ice powers as she gains more confidence in herself and as seen in the second image, she eventually learns to summon her own sword made of ice
also at some point she ends up w flame princess bcs. i think theyd be cute together.
